By using Any File Type, you agree to use the site lawfully and responsibly and only process files you are authorized to use.

Your files and responsibility

You are responsible for the files you choose, the rights you have to those files, and how you use converted or extracted results. Do not use the service for unlawful material or to infringe another person’s rights.

Accounts and limits

The current limits are 3 completed conversions per day for guests, 10 for free accounts and 500 for Pro accounts. Daily allowances reset at 00:00 UTC. Guest usage is tracked in that browser; signed-in Free and Pro usage is tracked to the account. Guest conversions have an 8-second start wait, free-account conversions have a 4-second start wait and Pro has no artificial start wait. Only completed conversions count toward the daily allowance. The pricing page is the controlling source if these limits change. Attempts to bypass access controls, abuse the service or automate excessive requests may be restricted.

Pro subscriptions

Pro is a recurring subscription that renews on the selected monthly or annual billing cycle until canceled. The current standard prices are $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year, with the exact recurring amount shown again before purchase. Payments and the self-service billing portal are handled through Stripe, while account sign-in is provided through Clerk. Subscribers can use the account billing controls to manage payment details or cancel. Cancellation stops future renewals; Pro access normally remains through the already-paid billing period unless a refund, reversal or applicable law changes that period. Promotional offers can be limited by date and account and may be restricted to one redemption per user.

Browser-based processing

Current conversion and file-utility tools process selected file content in the browser rather than sending the file itself to the Any File Type backend. Some tools load conversion libraries in the browser. There is no separate fixed site file-size cap for those browser-processed tools, but practical limits still depend on the device, browser memory, file structure, codec and selected operation. Always check important output before relying on it.

No guarantee of perfect conversion

File conversion is not always lossless. Formatting, metadata, transparency, fonts, formulas, media quality, subtitles or other features may change during conversion. Any File Type is provided on an as-available basis.

Tools, supported formats, limits, prices and site features may change as the service evolves. Material terms will be updated when necessary.
