Get unstuck fast.
Use this page for conversion problems, account limits, subscription management and privacy questions. Ivy can also help you choose the right converter and explain format differences.
How to convert a file
Open the exact converter for your source and target formats, choose the file, review any format-specific settings, select Convert, and download the result. If you do not know which converter you need, use All Tools or ask Ivy.
If a conversion fails
First confirm that the file extension matches the actual file type and that the file opens normally in another app. Large media files can require significant browser memory, especially on phones. Try closing other tabs, using a smaller file, or running the conversion on a computer. If the browser reports an unsupported codec or format, use a different source file or a more common target such as JPG, PNG, MP3 or MP4 when appropriate.
If the output looks different
Conversion can change compression, transparency, fonts, formulas, page layout, subtitles, metadata or media quality. Review the format-specific notes on the converter page before relying on an important output. Keep the original file until you have checked the result.
Daily limits
Guests receive 3 completed conversions per day with an 8-second start wait. Free accounts receive 10 completed conversions per day with a 4-second start wait. Pro accounts receive 500 completed conversions per day with no artificial start wait. Daily usage resets at 00:00 UTC, and only completed conversions count.
Account and sign-in help
Use the Sign in button in the site navigation to create or access an account. Signed-in usage limits follow the account rather than the browser. Favorites and recent-tool conveniences are stored locally in the browser and can disappear if browser storage is cleared.
Billing and cancellations
Pro subscriptions are managed through Stripe. Sign in, open your account panel, and choose Manage subscription to update payment details or cancel. Cancellation stops future renewals; access normally remains active through the paid billing period.
Privacy and file handling
Current converter and utility tools process selected file content in the browser rather than uploading the file itself to the Any File Type backend for conversion. The backend can receive usage events and ordinary web requests without receiving the selected file contents. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Choosing the right tool
Use All Tools when you know the source and target formats, or open Ivy from the site navigation and describe what you are trying to do. Ivy can recommend a converter or explain common format tradeoffs, but it cannot see your private files or access your billing account.
Account-specific issues
For subscription changes, sign in and use Manage subscription in your account panel. For conversion troubleshooting or help choosing a format, use this Help Center or Ivy. Ivy cannot view private files, payment details or billing-account data.
Contact support
If you still need help, email support@anyfiletype.com. For your privacy, do not email file contents, passwords, full payment-card numbers or other sensitive information. Include the converter or page you were using and a short description of what happened.
